Enters Uncle

Uncle What are you doing? (Ironically.) Reading too much, perhaps?

Nephew No. Iʼm pla–, pla–, playing. 

Silence. Good rock music is heard through the TV. Game is starting again.

Uncle Thatʼs good music.

Nephew Itʼs Warriors Hammer.

Uncle No idea.

Nephew sneers at him. Uncle goes to his study. 

Nephew Youʼre a fool, Max! Such a fool! I got ya! HA!

Uncle Writing at his desk. Nephew idiot. Only TV and games.

    Cannot even talk properly. And he is 9 already. What will it

    be of our family? Only child. Relax, philosopher: he will learn.

Nephew I beat you, Max! HA! Do you want another game?
