Mozartʼs Discography.

I know of three complete discographies on Mozart:

1. The Complete Compact Mozart Edition by Philips, 1991. 

2. The Mozart Complete Edition by Brilliant Classics, 2014.

3. The Mozart 225 Edition, 2017.

You choose. All three are great. No. 2 is best by price and quality. Any true Mozartian must have the three complete ones, anyway. If I were to go for genres, I would say this:

4. On the piano sonatas, Maria J. Pires and William Youn.

5. On the piano concertos, Murray Peraiha. 

6. On the symphonies, Karl Böhm (but Symphony 34 goes to Ricardo Muti and Sir Colin Davis).

7. On the violin and piano sonatas, Alina Ibragivoma and Cedric Tiberghien.

8. On the violin sonatas, Isabelle Faust.

9. On the operas, there is too much to choose, but Teodor Currentzis is great to start with.
